MORE is LOVE: Tell us about your brand, what makes it different?

SYNDROM: SYNDROM is not about an individual designer, but about a collaborative collective of artists. We wanted to convey this idea but prefer to stay in the background without taking attention away from the clothes themselves. It is about turning the spotlight on the clothes rather than the people who make them. SYNDROM started as an enthusiastic collaborative project bringing together unknown artists under one idea - making high quality and creative clothes and products, that are created to be worn and wanted...

The idea was to have direct, intimate, personal contact between the person who looks at the garment and the garment. We believe the idea thematic and aesthetic consensus is absolute!

MORE is LOVE: How do you work? Describe your working process.

SYNDROM: "Sleep less, work MORE!" Thinking, brainstorming, and analyzing clothes is an essential part of the creative process. I always go with passions, never asking myself if it's realistic or not.

MORE is LOVE: Tell us about your ultimate goal as a designer.

SYNDROM: I want to carry on having a free and independent company.

MORE is LOVE: What is the most fascinating thing in your profession?

SYNDROM: The most fascinating thing is the creative process: there is no fixed physical reality, no single perception of the world!

MORE is LOVE: What inspires you?

SYNDROM: I have an overwhelming obsession with life's existential questions, the world, LOVE, the people - I suppose they are my greatest inspiration - the way they behave, move, dress...

MORE is LOVE: What does fashion mean to you?

SYNDROM: Fashion is a business that's about making clothes that people can wear. I think, there is a difference between the fashion industry and the art of garment making.

MORE is LOVE: Describe a woman who wears your clothes.

SYNDROM: The women I see walking on the street, buying groceries at the store, picking up their children from school. My clothes are as much for them as they are for the actress preparing for a premier or the politician or CEO on her way to the office.

I have an overwhelming obsession with life's existential questions.

MORE is LOVE: How do you embody your ideas into your collections?

SYNDROM: I draw inspiration from a multifaceted array of association. the individual themes, illustrations, designs created by our team are the base on which I am able to build and expand. Initially, I start with a visual connection, one that is often almost instinctual, analysis comes later. I might also start with text, but the imagery which it evokes is essential. I also like distortion. For me there is tremendous value in the cognitive dissonance of the unexpected. Therefore pushing boundaries and shattering expected norms are not simply ideas, they are motivating goals!
