MORE is LOVE: Tell us your story. What moved you to get into fashion?

Rejina: My mum was a fashion designer. She taught me how to use a sewing machine and I began making dresses at the age of 14. I didn't have a point when I decided I wanted to be a fashion designer. It was more of a natural thing.

MORE is LOVE: What inspires you and how do you embody your ideas into your collections?

Rejina: I love fine art and respect what artists do. Another constant inspiration for me is real people on the street, mood and everything around me.

MORE is LOVE: How strongly are your designs influenced by Korean or British cultures?

Rejina: I grew up in Seoul, which is a phenomenally design-conscious city. I’m sure my work is influenced by my Korean culture whether it be conscious or subconscious. The British culture is a constant form of inspiration for me. The people here are freer in their style which I like.

MORE is LOVE: You took international fashion scene with storm. What does success mean to you?

Rejina: Success means to live life without regrets! To be happy and healthy - without these, it means nothing!

MORE is LOVE: Share with us your personal clothing preferences.

Rejina: I love when an item of clothing has an element of intelligent detail, function and is well made with beautiful materials so that it is eye catching yet effortless. I think my own style is reflected in my design and my designs have become my style - as I wear them myself!

MORE is LOVE: What is the most fascinating thing in your profession?

Rejina: The most fascinating thing about my profession is that I’m able to transform an idea, whether it be an image or feeling, into something real which will be worn and used in someone’s life. I LOVE that.

MORE is LOVE: What is your brand’s philosophy?

Rejina: To create fresh, modern and elegant work. I want my customer to be able to play around with their garments. Turn it around, tuck it in, accessorise it, dress it up or down. Basically make it their own.

MORE is LOVE: Describe a woman who wears your clothes.

Rejina: The REJINA PYO woman is effortlessly elegant with a twist. They are passionate about what they do and appreciated craftsmanship and details.

MORE is LOVE: What does fashion mean to you?

Rejina: Fashion is a very strong communication tool.

MORE is LOVE: Tell us about your ultimate goal as a designer.

Rejina: I always aim to design clothing which can be appreciated regardless of the time but is still relevant to the woman who wears it now.

MORE is LOVE: What are you working on at the moment?

Rejina: We are currently working on our SS16 collection for our show on September 21st. I am working hard but also having so much fun designing this collection. We are also developing our shoe collaboration with the shoe designer Kult Domini and a sunglasses collaboration with the Korean brand Projekt Produkt for the first time. Very exciting.
